This subject was touched upon in Issue 8 of Lift Industry News earlier this year in ‘Second staircases and evacuation lifts- an inclusive design perspective’. Since then the term ‘vulnerable persons’ has appeared extensively in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry final report, so it now feels appropriate to explore the use of this term in a bit more detail.
