Some of you are probably reading this and questioning ‘is it ok to ask that?’ Some of you may be thinking ‘this is political correctness gone mad’, and others may just answer straight off ‘of course we are - lifts are designed for everyone’.

To respond to those statements in turn, yes it is ok to ask that and, as this article will demonstrate, it is a question we probably should all be asking more in our professional capacity.
