My life is fairly simple – if my human throws a ball and I bring it back I get a reward, sometimes a dog treat, often a Good Boy Ted. I like praise, it balances out the bad things I (very rarely) do.
But in your life, the world my humans call work, there’s always a never-ending list of improvements to be made. You’re all sprinting towards targets and deadlines, yet once you finally achieve them – once you catch that ball! – there’s barely a pause for celebration! Instead, it’s just a quick tick off an evergrowing list before you throw yourselves straight into the next challenge.
We celebrate birthdays (mine is 23rd August, HINT) and anniversaries but seem to miss out the celebration of work achievements. Celebrating together is so important – it creates a positive team culture and boosts the confidence of each person involved.
