What is EPAO?

SAFed and its members were part of the Engineer Surveyor apprenticeship trailblazer that brings businesses from each sector together to produce employer-led standards for apprenticeship roles in their industry. The standard is held with the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) and has been available for use for 5 years by training providers.

LEIA are an End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for the standard. An EPAO is an independent body responsible for assessing whether an apprentice has successfully achieved the skills, knowledge, and behaviours outlined in their apprenticeship standard. They are distinct from the training provider and ensure a fair and consistent assessment.
