It was Women in Engineering Day on  23rd June, and Eleni Price at Kitall, winner of the ICE London STEM Ambassador of the Year Award 2025, posted this:

If I could give one piece of advice to a young girl considering engineering, it would be this:

Do not let the fact that you may be the only woman in the room stop you from taking your seat at the table.

Engineering needs curiosity.

Engineering needs creativity.

Engineering needs problem solvers.

None of those qualities are defined by gender.

On International Women in Engineering Day, I am grateful for the opportunities this profession has given me and for the women who have helped pave the way for future generations.

To every girl considering a career in engineering: we need you.
