Stannah Lifts Distribution & Service was proud to participate in the Women Talking Fire Technical Conference, held on 19 June 2026 in Winchester.

The event brought together leading voices from across the fire safety and built environment sectors for a day of technical insight, collaboration and professional development.

Representing Stannah, Martin Chadwick and Val Champion joined colleagues from the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) to share perspectives on the role of lifts in fire safety, evacuation planning and safer building design. Their session explored current standards, practical considerations and the importance of ongoing maintenance awareness across the industry.

The conference provided a valuable platform to engage with fire engineers, regulators and building professionals, and to contribute to wider discussions on best practice and safety in the built environment.
