The Mole Antonelliana in Turin was initially conceived as a synagogue. On completion in 1889, at 167.5 meters high, it was the tallest brick building in Europe. It is now home to The National Museum of Cinema.

In 1961, the Panoramic Lift was inaugurated, renovated in 1999, it takes you up to an incredible view of the city and the Alps.

The 59-second lift ride itself is a thrilling experience, as it ascends through the centre of the building, offering a spectacular view of the Great Hall of the museum. The lift shaft is completely self-supported, with no surrounding hoist way, creating an incredible sense of openness.

Thank you to the CIBSE lift group for posting on LinkedIn about this - one for the lift enthusiast bucket list!
