As the lift and escalator industry continues to evolve, so too does the diversity and strength of the people behind it. In recognition of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, we recognise the growing impact and achievements of women across every area of the lift industry.

From engineers and technicians to project managers, office support, designers, and leaders, women are playing a vital role in shaping the future of vertical transportation. 

While we recognise the achievements of women, it is equally important to acknowledge the collective support behind this progress. From the perspective of our Women in the Lift Industry group (created by Gemma Moore in March this year, now with over 100 global members), many of the most influential supporters, mentors, and advocates have been male colleagues who have championed development, opened doors, and encouraged progression. 

At the same time, the group exists to bring women together, creating a supportive network where experiences are shared, confidence is built, and opportunities are strengthened through collaboration.
