LEIA appoints Dave Campbell as Head of Membership & Events
The Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) has appointed Dave Campbell as Head of Membership & Events, a newly created role that reflects the Association’s continued investment in its membership proposition.
Dave brings more than 18 years’ experience in senior membership roles at trade bodies including the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) and the British Woodworking Federation (BWF). He has also worked as a consultant with a range of membership organisations, helping them strengthen their membership propositions, increase engagement and support sustainable growth.
He will work closely with members and the wider industry ecosystem to understand their priorities, maintain engagement with the Association and help them make the most of LEIA’s services, resources and expertise. Dave will also lead the development and delivery of LEIA’s programme of events, including its seminars and the LIFTEX trade show.
Laura Webb, Managing Director at LEIA, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Dave, who will be a great addition to the LEIA leadership team. Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and Dave’s extensive experience will be a real asset as we continue to develop what LEIA offers.”
Dave Campbell said: “I’m really excited to be joining LEIA at such an important point in its development. I’ve spent much of my career working with membership organisations across the built environment, helping to modernise membership propositions, strengthen engagement and make sure members can clearly see and experience the value of belonging. I’m looking forward to drawing on that experience at LEIA, working closely with members to understand what matters most to them and helping shape how the Association develops in the years ahead.
“There’s a huge amount to build on, and I’m particularly looking forward to strengthening member engagement and developing an events programme that brings the industry together, shares expertise and supports LEIA’s wider ambitions for the sector.
“One of my priorities when I start will be to listen, so I’d really encourage both LEIA members and others from across the lift and escalator industry to get in touch. I’m keen to hear what people value, where they think we could do more and how LEIA can best support the industry in the years ahead.”

The Big Apprentice Survey
Help us make apprentice voices heard across the UK.
The Big Apprentice Survey from the Association of Apprentices aims to understand the apprenticeship experience, from finding and starting an apprenticeship through to learning, assessment and what happens next. We need employers, providers and sector professionals to help us spread the word and encourage their apprentices to take part.
The survey is open to:
Current apprentices.
Those who have completed an apprenticeship.
Those who have left their apprenticeship early.
The survey will help understand what’s working well, where challenges remain and what needs to change to improve outcomes for apprentices across the UK. The results will be released during National Apprenticeship Week 2027.
